Disney characters Daisy and Goofy brought to life in new AR emoji update

Samsung and Disney have announced two new AR emojis; Daisy Duck and Goofy are now available for S9 and S9+ users.
Samsung have announced that their current Disney AR emoji lineup is expanding, giving S9 and S9+ users even more ways to express themselves.

Beloved Disney characters Daisy Duck and Goofy join an all star cast including the iconic Mickey Mouse, his girlfriend Minnie and Daisy’s other half: Donald Duck.

This follows on from a Disney AR emoji update that only just happened in May, where The Incredibles were brought to life for augmented reality crime fighting action.

AR emojis are one of the key features of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ smartphones and are a direct response to Apple’s Animojis. The feature allows users to send and share personalised animated emoji using the power of the smartphone’s camera and advanced facial recognition technology.

How to get the new Disney AR emoji

If you want to fumble around like Goofy or show how fabulous you are as Daisy, then getting access to these AR emojis couldn’t be any more simple.

S9 and S9+ users can head over to the Galaxy Apps Store right now and find the new characters in the AR emoji section; simply download and enjoy the new AR emoji.

In a recent press statement, Samsung promised that even more classic Disney characters would soon join the ever expanding emoji AR family - and it seems the pair of companies coincide new releases around the launch of new films.

The next big animated film for Disney this year is Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. Early speculation suggests that Wreck-it Ralph AR emojis could be in the works to further promote the film which could include Fix-It Felix and Vanellope Von Schweetz.

Beyond new film releases, the festive season could see the arrival of winter themed Disney characters, with Frozen being a forerunner for the AR emoji treatment.
