Nestlé Waters announces Emoji Water Bottles

Nestlé Waters introduces new water bottles with popular emojis used for the bottle design.
Nestlé Waters is launching four new water bottles inspired by emojis.

The emoji water bottles feature design from four popular emojicons, including the Crying with Laughter Face, Speak No Evil Monkey and Blowing a Kiss Face. This follows a successful launch of super hero inspired water bottles in 2016.

Where can you get the emoji water bottles

Available now at all good supermarkets, Nestlés goal with these water bottles is to inspire children to drink more water - with 65% of children aged five to 16 reportedly not drinking enough. It’s also estimated that a mere 22% of a child’s total fluid intake comes from water.

Silika Shellie, Head of Category and Shopper Development at Nestlé Waters commented on the launch of the emoji water bottles, stating that the new “water buddies” were a fun and creative way for children aged 6+ to drink more water.

Shed further added: “Bottled water is the fastest growing segment within the £7.3bn soft drinks category and we’re confident that our new fun range of bottled water will help retailers to drive sales in-store and appeal to new shoppers.”

For the Kids?

The new bottles are a part of the Nestlé Pure Life range - water that comes from carefully chosen springs that is bottled directly at source.

These emoji water bottles, available in 33cl sizes, are a growing trend from organisations trying to connect with youngsters using the popularity of emojis, with many firms creating their own emojis to connect with customers.

It seems that emojis may not be the ideal solution for connecting with the younger age group however; a YouTube led study found that emojis could be causing the degradation of English language skills, especially with the younger generation.
